Bethany Gavin, M.Ed.
Child Development Instructor and Teacher
From the time Bethany was a little girl she has always wanted to be a teacher. As a child, she would sit all her stuffed animals and Cabbage Patch Dolls around a small chalkboard to teach letters and numbers. In high school, she was awarded the Tomorrow’s Teachers Scholarship. She was thrilled. When she graduated from Framingham State College (now University), she worked in the Plymouth and Scituate Public schools. She loved the kids, planning creative lessons, working with other brilliant teachers, and seeing her students grow academically and as individuals. She herself continued to develop professionally, earning her Master’s degree in Education from Fitchburg State University.
After having her daughter, Katherine, she began working part-time at Isis Parenting in Hanover, teaching child development, art, and music classes. Bethany enjoyed every minute with the children and their caregivers as she watched the children meet their developmental milestones.
When Isis Parenting closed in January of 2014, Bethany decided to continue teaching children because that is what she truly loves to do. She is excited to share all her knowledge and creativity with families on the South Shore. Her classes incorporate music, discussion, developmental activities, and most importantly, are fun for all!
